The exhibition “A world that can live forever” was showcased at the design store Svenskt Tenn in Stockholm in Januari this year. It’s a visualisation of a joint project by the Beijer Institute, Beckmans College of Design and Svenskt Tenn. The situation for the world’s coral reefs has never been as acute as it is now but there’s still hope! Me and my classmates gave form to the research on the coral reefs made by the Beijer Institute. I chose to focus on the future and the fact that we’ve put the destiny of the coral reefs in the hands of the children. During two days, one at Aquaria Water Museum and one at Beckmans School of Design, 11 children created sculptures inspired by what they had learned about corals. Thanks to their imagination and their ability to spread their knowledge, the future of the corals is brighter than ever!
