About Beckmans

Theory and practice, centered on critical thinking.

Beckmans College of Design is a tuition-free higher education institution offering three Bachelor's degree programs (180 ECTS): Visual Communication, Fashion, and Product Design. The college also runs Kvällsskolan (Evening School), a one-year preparatory program covering the same three specializations. Teaching is built on the conviction that design is a method for shaping our present and future. Founded in 1939 with Anders Beckman as its principal, the school is currently located in the historic AGA factory on Lidingö.

Second-year Fashion students have explored innovative approaches to form, presenting 13 visionary concepts for the future of couture. This year, the students collaborated with silk suppliers in Soufli, Greece.
