Som examensprojekt har jag valt att arbeta med uttryck i det offent-
liga rummet. Min idé är att montera en skyltdisplay längs kanten på
samlingspunkten Svampen på Stureplan och där låta en textremsa
vandra runt. Tanken är att vem som helst ska kunna skicka ett sms
som visas på displayen. Funktionen blir en utveckling av Svampen i
tidens anda. Till idén hör också en hemsida länkad till installationen.
Med hjälp av en webb-kamera ska man kunna se sitt sms som text-
remsa på Svampen. Med projektet vill jag ge den vanliga människan
chansen att kommunicera i stadsbilden. Vem som helst kan få göra
sin röst hörd. En modern variant av speakers corner i London om man
så vill. Projektet presenteras i form av skisser, men tanken är att det
ska förverkligas inom en snar framtid.

As my degree project i chose to work with expression in the public
space. My concept is to hang a sign display along the rim of a popular
meeting point, »Svampen« [the Mushroom] at Stureplan in Stock-
holm, with a rotating text message. The idea is that anyone can send a
text message that will be shown on the display. This will be a develop-
ment of Svampen in the spirit of the times. The concept includes a
website that is linked to the installation. With the help of a web cam-
era anyone can see their text message on Svampen. With this project i
wanted to give the man in the street the opportunity to communicate
in the urban landscape. Anyone can make their voice heard. A modern
variety of Speakers’ corner in London, you could say. The project is
presented as sketches, but my idea is that it will be implemented in
near future.
