During a spring afternoon the second year students had the opportunity to meet the influential British graphic designer Daniel Eatock.

Daniel Eatock has a background as commercial graphic designer with clients such as Channel 4, Victoria & Albert and The New York Times. In recent years he has become one of the foremost representatives of a new international wave of self-initiated graphic design.
His book "Imprint" sums up his mission work and own projects.
Spring 2010, Eatock spent in Stockholm as one of Iaspis studio fellows.
Eatock invited the students and served homemade bread, presented his work and held a long conversation about graphic design in relation to art.

The visit was part of the History, Theory and Context-course "The designer role, research and critical thinking" which deals with alternative approaches to graphic design. The course was led by graphic designer Johanna Lewengard.
