Product Design 10 at the Jewish Theatre

1 Okt, 2008 | Sofia Hulting | 0 Comments

The visual concert "Different Trains" will open at the Jewish Theatre on October 4. The piece is written by Steve Reich and performed by Fläskkvartetten. The stage design of glass has been created by the artist Ann Wåhlstrand. Product Design 10 has created a light and colour installation in the entrance and lobby.

Last spring, the second-year students in Product Design were commissioned by Pia Forsgren, Manager of the Jewish Theatre, to change the entrance, the lobby and the toilets, mainly by the help of light, in order to prepare the audience for the concert. But without revealing too much. The students were inspired by transparancy, tracks, contrasts and pulse, and in one week created an installation of water, light, colour and sound. The installation can be seen on Saturdays and Sundays before the concerts or when the lobby is open for ticket sales and coffee. Opening hours during the weekends are 12 o'clock - 16 o'clock and during the rest of the week 12 o'clock - 15 o'clock, until November 30.
