Exhibition in collaboration with HP

One of the projects that has initiated the autumn semester is a design collaboration with HP.

The students in Fashion and Advertising and Graphic Design have designed patterns for home furnishing products and accessories. HP has provided the students with printers, different materials and accessories. The products will be exhibited at Galleri So Stockholm in Kungsträdgården October 18-21. Tom Hedqvist, principal, will design the exhibition.

Two winners will be elected by a jury, winning a trip to Shanghai in December where they will be able to present the project. In addition, HP will produce a limited edition of the students’ skins, i.e decoration for lap-tops. ”We think it is good to use new technology in combination with the theoretical and the creative. With this assignment, the students have been allowed to test their knowledge from idea and pattern to concrete products,” says Annika Berner, manager of the educational program Advertising and Graphic Design.

The jury includes Margaretha van den Bosch, head of design at H&M, Tina Björeman, head of press and home interiors at IKEA, Sophie Gyllenhammar Mattsson, designer, and Gunilla Lundqvist, head of communication and brand at HP.

The exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday, October 20 and Sunday October 21. It will then be possible to buy the students’ products.
