Design happening at Djurgrdsbrunn

29 Aug, 2008 | Sofia Hulting | 0 Comments

The final year students at Beckmans will show the result of a workshop in artistic realisation this weekend. The workshop is a collaboration with Magasin 3 Stockholm Konsthall and International Curating Management Education (ICME) at Stockholm University.

During the first week of September, the students of Beckmans and ICME will participate in a workshop on the theme Contemporary Spa Culture. The students will intepret the term spa culture today and the significance of spa culture and water throughout history. The result will be exhibited September 5-7 at Djurgårdsbrunn which was a popular health resort during the 18th and 19th centuries. Come and see the students' installations with water, light and sound and an historical retrospect of the site. Fresh drinking water will be served, bottled directly from the original well. If you become hungry, you can enjoy a picnic menu outdoors, sitting on especially designed blankets, all of it designed by the students. The event will begin with an opening party with contemporary music and drinks as far as stocks last.

Djurgårdsbrunnsvägen 68, Djurgården September 5-7.
Opening night Friday September 5, 17-21
Open Saturday and Sunday 12-18.
