Artek and Beckmans

29 Mar, 2011 | Sofia Hulting | 0 Comments

Nine students in Product Design 12 recently showed visionary shop-windows commissioned by Artek.

How can a future shop-window look? Will the shop be replaced by a centrally located shop-window and a webshop? Perhaps the physical store can be located off the city-centre? These were among the questions that Artek asked the second-year students in Product Design. The students were then asked to present one idea each of how such a future shop-window may look. The starting-point was the classic Artek stool. View the eight ideas in the pictures above.

Tutors for the course were Bernadette Schillings, Senior Lecturer in Design at the Linné University in Växjö, specialized in commercial spatial design and Minttu Vesala, stylist och production designer. Anja Palmgren, Senior Lecturer in Perception and Spatial Interpretation was project leader.
