A week of artistic interpretation

18 Dec, 2007 | Sofia Hulting | 0 Comments

Product Design 2 has just completed a week of free artistic interpretation together with the artist Sven Nilsson who otherwise works in Berlin.

Characteristic for Sven Nilsson's art is an interest in psychological processes. His art often works as formations of scenes where the onlooker is placed in the centre of the work and is confronted in it. At Beckmans College of Design Sven Nilsson let the students start out with different conceptions and associations and from them create sketches to works. David Svensson started out with the concept force majeur when he created his freely floating chair, while Helena Svensson was inspired by the word metamorphosis which she developed in a small room. Katarina Britse's balloons are inspired by the family. Katarina is the white balloon and the rest of her family circles around her in transparent balloons.
