In ”Solid Movement”, Emma Hanseklint has been inspired by human statues. The collection deals with the difference between being an item and being human. A crossover between human life and movement and the constructed humanity of statues. The garments consist of classic woven materials, such as wool, silk and polyester. In order to describe the difference between solidity and movement, the designer has shaped some of the materials in the garments instead of letting them shape themselves naturally, and, as a contrast, done just the opposite to other materials, letting them follow their natural pattern of movement. The collection raises questions about what makes something look alive.
