Whale and the panflute är ett samarbete mellan mig och mina vänner,
där jag som vanligtvis »bara ritar« åtagit mig rollen som projektle-
dare, art director och illustratör. Det är en bok vars historia berättas
med bild, text och musik. Det är textilier i form av screentryckta sjalar
av ekologisk bomull med samma handling. Det är en performance-
show i vilken berättelsen får liv och musiken tar större utrymme än
den vita vinylskivan som återfinns i bokens slut.
Berättelsen behandlar en aktuell fråga som berör oss alla: havet är
i dåligt skick och den dystra utvecklingen hotar vårt levnadsklimat.
Vår ambition är att väcka intresset för torra fakta genom att drama-
tisera dem. Förhoppningsvis hjälper det lite grann.

Whale and the panflute is a collaboration between me and my friends,
where i, who usually »just draw« took on the role as project man-
ager, art director and illustrator. it’s a book where the story is told in
pictures, words and music. it’s textiles in the form of screen-printed
scarves made of ecological cotton with the same story. it’s a perfor-
mance show in which the story is brought to life and the music takes
more space than the white vinyl disc found at the end of the book.
the story deals with a contemporary issue that concerns us all: the
ocean is in a bad state and the gloomy development is threatening
the living climate. Our ambition is to awaken interest in the bald facts
by dramatising them. hopefully, this will make a small contribution.
