My favourite way of sitting in a living room is on the floor, leaning against the sofa, preferably with a laptop in my lap. I wanted to design a piece of furniture, accompanied by a side table, which would encourage and simplify this type of sitting. The angled back support also invites you to sit closer together when you have company. The table, designed to accommodate a laptop, also has space for three potted plants. The lampshade is made from folded sheet steel and rests directly on the lightbulb
