Mitt examensprojekt har sitt ursprung i bilder som fotografen Richard
Avdeon tagit. Porträttserien heter In the American West och består
av svartvita bilder på människor i det amerikanska Midwest, tagna
1973. Bilderna är enkla, ärliga och skitiga. Jag gillar det, och dessa
människor har inspirerat mig. Balans är ett ledord för mig som hasar
efter mig vart jag än går. Gränslandet mellan det fina, vackra och det
utslitna, skitiga.

My degree project originated in images by the photographer Richard
Avedon. The series of portraits is called In the American West and
consists of black-and-white pictures of people in the Midwest, taken
in 1973. They are straightforward, honest and rough. I like that, and
these people have inspired me. Balance is a key word for me that
shuffles after me wherever I go. The borderland between the nice, the
beautiful, and the tarnished, dirty.
