The brief was to make a collection that contains eight outfits, the focus was in color and form. I have always been inspired of samurais, geishas and the time when Djingis khan was the ruler of Asia. So that was my starting point.
I had a vision to make a rough and badass collection for woman. I wanted to mix the samurai armour with the shy geisha look, the balance of the colours and silhouette was important.
My previous collection i did for Beckmans college of design i experimented a lot with dyeing fabrics, in this collection where i still curious about the Shibori technique. So continued to experiment with it, in the end i was happy with result. The materials in my collection was dyed fabrics mixed with leather.
