Metamorfit candleholder is made from stones that are 485 millions years old. Stones taken from a quarry in my old hometown Borghamn, where the munks started to quarrying stones 1000 years ago. A metamorfit is formed when a previously rock undergoes a particular type of transformation - metamorfos. The name means change in shape. If igneous, sedimentary rocks and older metamorphic rocks subjected to high pressure, high temperature, then a metamorfit happen. These stones has gone from limestone to marble.
The candleholders are all unique in different shapes and colours, combined with copper. Copper is found in the earths crust and has had a significant impact on Swedish history and the Swedish culture.
